How to hang a throw blanket on the wall.
Thread a wooden dowel with small metal loops on either end into the pocket.
The soft fuzzy strip goes fuzzy side up on the blanket.
Then i used a nail and hammer to add starter holes for some brass hooks.
Hang the canvas on parallel nails attached to wall studs or wall anchors.
Place the loop alongside the top edge of your blanket.
Use the loops to attach your cord or ribbon on either side.
If the blanket is an heirloom or prized possession paint the wood strip first.
This arrangement is better because the loop side is softer making it easier to wash your blanket without having to remove the tape.
Staple or tack the blanket along the back inside edge of the frame.
I started by attaching 4 command velcro strips evenly spaced on the back of the board.
Staple or glue the other half of the velcro strip to a piece of wood.
Wrap the blanket around the small canvas so the area you wish to display is centered on the canvas.
Use a hammer to drive a nail into each of the 4 corners of the blanket.
The seven foot boards are wider so i decided to use one of them to hang my throw on the wall.
Hang the blanket with nails if you are planning to leave it up for a while.
If the blanket is not too heavy hand sew a strip of velcro on the back along the hanging edge.
For a larger canvas stitch the blanket onto the canvas near the perimeter of the blanket.
Install a curtain rod at the top of your wall then fold the end of a blanket over a dowel rod and stitch it together on the back or create a rod.
Be sure to sew the velcro in a straight line so that the blanket will hang properly.
You can also create your own hanging system.
For some added security you can staple the tape onto the wall.
Also on the backside top sew a strip of fabric to create a channel and hang with a rod.
It will hang best and be less distorted if you sew a backing material to it.
