Remove the studs and frame in the header.
Cover the foam insulation with trim and add a small amount of caulk to the visible joint between the trim and interior wall area.
Clean out all the mortar and seal around the edges with a mortar sealer.
If the wall is load bearing you will have to construct a temporary wall to support weight before you can install the header.

After you cut through the mortar block wall you can then remove the bricks that have been cut out.
Hammer the anchors into the dimpled sections of the frame until the head of the anchor is flush with the frame.
Then use a screwdriver to remove the screws which hold the frame of the sliding door to the wooden door frame.
Once the trim has been removed you can remove any nails that are left behind.
Center the frame within the opening and insert the expansion bolts for your existing wall anchors ewa anchors into the dimples on the frame.
Use expanding foam insulation to seal any gaps between the door frame and wall.
This is an extra step that adds to the cost and it will probably have to be included in the plans you file to get the permit.
